It's no secret that we really love our
local libraries. Sally has not-so-secretly dreamt of being a librarian for years now. Sure, it might be a little quiet in the workplace, but the thought of being surrounded by so many books, helping people find that
perfect book and reading to children makes this nerdy bibliophile's heart beat just a little faster. You can imagine her glee when she came across
this article/fact sheet (thanks, Katy!) which explains how librarians are so much more than the aforementioned things. Sally's favorite takeaways from the article are:
- Librarians answered nearly 5.7 million questions in 2010. And you thought Google was your only resource.
- When the CIA provides information to the POTUS, they refer to their librarians. So, basically, librarians should run for president ; )
- Never piss off a librarian as they are "the secret masters of the universe"
