We can’t wait to read Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion by Elizabeth L. Cline (yes, fashion continues to be on the brain this week!).
We know it’ll upset us and may send us spiraling out of control
into another year of no shopping, but we’re crazy like that. Can you believe, according to Cline, that
Americans throw away 12.7 million tons of clothing yearly? And, donating clothes
is no longer the quick guilt-releaser because organizations like Salvation Army are so
overwhelmed with donations that they toss out five tons of unsellable clothing per
day. We don't want to believe these stats but, holy smokes, we’re already
fired up!
